POSITION TITLE: FEDERAL PROGRAM SPECIALIST
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate; minimum 30 hours college credit, preferred
Minimum three years school district experience
Experience handling confidential information
Demonstrates ability to communicate and work effectively with parents, staff, students and community
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Student Populations/Director of Academic Services
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Microsoft Office and Adobe Pro experience, preferred
- Creates and maintains records in adherence with federal laws including but not limited to: IDEA, Title I, Title II, Title III, etc.
- Serves as purchasing agent for administrative team; placing tracking and confirming all orders for various federal programs in accordance with funding matrices set forth by KDE
- Maintains and adjusts budgets in programming including but not limited to: GMAP, MUNIS, EzEdMed, etc.
- Enters and maintains confidential information and data entry in Student Information System following all rules and regulations; maintains files and current student information within electronic and filing systems
- Maintains all school based health services billing, logs and reports
- Liason for information sharing with other school districts, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services in adherence with FERPA
- Collaborates with Finance Director and the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent for all programs
- Knowledgeable of and adheres to all school law, board policies and all governing guidelines for federal programs
- Coordinates Child Find efforts in conjunction with IDEA, OCR
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Student Populations, Director of Academic Services, the Superintendent or designee
